TWINS2010
TWINS2010 is a project of the European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010.
It stands for the exchange of ideas, pooling of resources and cooperation between the Ruhr region and its European partners.The idea is to intensify the relationships between the 53 cities and towns in the Metropolitan area "Ruhr" and its 200 twin towns all over Europe.

We are taking part in this project because for us scouting is pure international networking within a worldwide movement.
In the last two years our groups have started to make sure what their "scouting culture" is like and then they went out to visit many of the twin towns in camps, explored the home of the scouts there and their way of scouting. We have experienced unbelievable hospitality everywhere and we are still finding out that we are the same (scouts) with so many different ways of scouting.
Now it is our turn!!! We would like to invite the visited groups and all scouts from the twin towns all over Europe back to our home.
In a two week European jamboree from August 6th till August 22nd 2010 we would like to live and work together, show you are home, learn about each others´ "scouting culture" and, of course, have a good time together.
